Connecting to our Remote Desktop Server

You connect using your Argonne credentials. Those who do not have an Argonne domain account and only have an MCS account cannot use this service. Anyone with a current Argonne appointment is eligible for an Argonne account. This service is only available to CELS employees.

  • Mac users require the current Terminal Server client.
    • Mac OS - Prior non-App store versions will not work.
  • Connect to rdp.mcs.anl.gov.
  • Linux users can use the simple rdesktop command.
    • rdesktop -g 1600x900 -u <username>@anl.gov rdp.mcs.anl.gov
