The CIFTS project is an effort to design and develop a reference implementation of a fault awareness and notification backplane that will span across all the different software components (from applications to middleware to job scheduler and operating system) in a system and will provide these components an approach to handle faults in a co-ordinated and holistic manner.
This wiki-site contains information about the ongoing events and progress of the CIFTS team towards achieving the above.
