Configuration
(Screenshots coming soon) Horizontal lines indicate a new setup screen (ie, after you click Continue).
- Launch the Account screen from the Tools menu if you already have accounts set up and click Add Account. A new install with no accounts will launch this automatically.
- Choose Email account.
- Your Name is how your name appears in the From field.
- Email Address is the email address that appears in the From field.
- IMAP is the recommended configuration.
- Incoming Server and Outgoing Server are both zimbra.anl.gov.
- Incoming User Name is your mcs username-mcs.
- Account Name is purely descriptive.
- Ensure all your settings are correct and click Finish or Done.
- You're not quite finished. Now, in the Accounts settings window, select Server Settings and ensure SSL is selected, and the port is 993. Make sure Use secure authentication is unchecked.
- Then, again in the Accounts Settings window, you need to select Outgoing Server (SMTP), then Edit.
- Description is purely descriptive, but you need to set Use secure connection to SSL, and ensure Port is 587.
And you're done!
