MCS Systems does not support or recommend Entourage. These instructions are provided as a convenience, and are based off Entourage 2008.

Configuration

After choosing to add an account:

  • Use the values as shown above. Except Account ID is your mcs username-mcs, not what's shown above. Password is your Argonne domain password, and both servers are zimbra.anl.gov

  • Verify will probably fail at this point, so skip it by clicking the right arrow.

  • Yes, really skip it.

  • It's not really complete. Get out of this box, then get into Account settings under Tools.

  • Double-click the MCS Mail account.

  • Under Receiving Mail, click the Advanced Options button.

  • Make sure it's using SSL and port 993, then hit the little close button in the upper left of that little popup window. Then click Advanced under Sending Mail.

  • Make sure SMTP is using SSL, Port 465, and Authentication (same as receiving). You can fill in the Domain for unqualified addresses. Close the box and you're done.
